GREAT BEND PILOT CLUB WINS BEST OF THE BEST —
CLUB OPERATIONS AWARD

The Pilot Club of Great Bend is the very best at CLUB OPS (membership/meetings). This is what we do:
Our club has luncheon meetings on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of each month. Nametags are available when the member enters the meeting room. Each member answers to roll call. It is important for everyone to talk and to hear others talk. If you are a regular attendee, you will soon learn a great deal about each member. Roll call is such things as what do you collect. In the last 3 years we have had a net gain of members.
Members are featured on their birthday month in our monthly newsletter and our encouraged to tell about the news in their life. All these create club camaraderie.
The 3rd meeting in May, our club plans for the new club year. The Club Operation Chairman is over many subcommittees such as membership, etc. Our goal is to get new members; retain our current members; and be one of the friendliest and best performing service clubs in the area. If a member is absent, it is easy to email them saying that they are missed or drop them a line.
If we are a winner we will make a presentation using an example of our nametags, yearbook, newsletter & form letters.
Our club tied with a club in Japan to win this international award!
