"Explore the Possibilities of Pilot” District Convention. Join us May 5 and 6, in Junction City, right off I-70 at the Courtyard Marriott. See your Pilot friends and make new ones while hearing from interesting speakers and breakouts. Saturday evening we are planning a fun party. “Explore the Wild West” with a Bar-B-Que, D.J. and activities. The Installation of 2018-2019 Governor Melanie Horton is scheduled during a very special Sunday afternoon luncheon.
"Possible Merger with Arkansas-Oklahoma District” KS-MO District has been contacted by the AR-OK District about the possibility of merging their approximate 100 members in 5 clubs from the states of Arkansas and Oklahoma with our approximate 320 members in 13 clubs in Kansas and Missouri. This option was discussed between the two districts in 2013 and resulted in the KS-MO District members voting to support the merger. However, AR-OK members were not ready to merge with us at that time and their members did not pass the proposal. Both District’s have the same goals. We desire to increase Pilot membership along with increasing the pool for members to hold District Leadership positions. Upgrades to personal communication make it easier to work together. It is a good time in the development of our District to consider such a merger again. The DAC held a conference call with the Club Presidents and Past District Governor’s and the feedback received was positive.
As a result, the DAC’s from KS-MO and AR-OK are working together to draft a proposal for a merger to form a new Pilot District. The proposal will be presented for a vote at the District Convention in Junction City. More information will be sent to Club President’s as it is developed.
Any member that has questions or comments may email, Governor Joan Williams at email@example.com. Please be sure to include the other DAC members.
